Dot Day!

Dot Day is based on a book about a little girl who believed she couldn't create art. You can watch this wonderfully, cute video here. So in honor of Dot Day, we each created our own dots and then received a certificate to verify that we participated in class. It was fun! We were able to create any kind of dot we wanted using various methods: watercolor, painting, crayons, coffee filters, etc. This is a fun activity to show anybody that they can create art. :)

The Elements and Principles of Design

When teaching art, you always need to introduce those confusing terms of the elements and principles of design. So why not introduce them through pictures that you have taken! When showing these pictures you also have a little story behind each of them to keep the lesson interesting and fun. :) For this project I had to only post 5 of my favorite ones.
